"The Kid makes his return" Billy Coffey Returns to his Roots in Micro Sprint Class.
Some may have thought that when Billy Coffey had his horriffic crash at Black Rock Speedway in a 360 Sprint Car that he would never be the same again and would more than likely lose his racing touch. It may have taken a little time for Billy to do it but he proved all the nay sayers wrong by returning to victory lane in a 270 micro sprint showing he still has what it takes to drive race cars and win and he didn't just do it once either....He did it 3 times over the 2007 racing season.
Once again, Coffey will be returning to the 270 Micro Sprint ranks in 2008 with a plan to run as many races as he can get in and head to many different tracks such as Lanco Speedway, Limerock Speedway, Paradise Speedway and the list goes on.
One day Coffey plans to make a return to the 360 sprints, but is waiting for when the time is right. Mentally and Financially. All the ducks need to be in their row to make things just right and now just is not the time so the return to the micro sprints seems fitting right now.
