Coffey grabs 2nd victory of the season with a win at Paradise Speedway.
Linwood, NY – June 18, 2008
Billy Coffey thought his luck was gone at Paradise Speedway as he and the team struggled to get the car to survive the battles as they were plagued with engine problems and bad starting positions.
Well, Coffey finally shook the bad luck string this past week as he made his 1st visit to victory lane at Paradise Speedway this past week and nabbed his 2nd feature win of the season.
Coffey started 4th in his heat and was in the lead by turn two and checked out on the field to collect the heat win. This would put Coffey on the pole for the feature event. Coffey got a great start and drove away from the field leading all of the laps enroute to the win in the 270 cc Class.
“The car couldn’t be any better. We made a couple of changes to the car this past week that seemed to cure the motor problems and we finally caught some breaks. We are so happy to be back at the top of our game.” Coffey spoke of the nights events.
