Another solid run for Coffey at Paradise.

Linwood, NY - October 17, 2009

Billy Coffey made his third run of the season at Paradise Speedway this past weekend which didn’t start out like the previous weeks. The night started off with Coffey drawing a high number and having to start at the back of the pack in his heat race.

Even with the poor starting spot, Coffey was able to work his way up to third in the running order by the end of the heat which would sit him in the fifth starting spot for the feature.

On the green Coffey shot for the fourth spot, then the third spot and was chasing the leaders. The track conditions were the driest that Coffey had ever seen it and realized that he had made the wrong choice in tire for the feature and started adjusting the wing and panhard to try and correct the looseness of the car. While Coffey was making adjustments he would lose a spot and brought the car home in fourth place at the finish.

“Not a bad night at all.” stated Coffey after the feature. “This may be our last outing of the season. We are thinking of maybe going to Linda’s at the end of the month, but we are undecided right now.”
